17 Afghans Beheaded in Insurgent Attack on Party

Insurgents beheaded 17 civilians in a Taliban-controlled area of southern Afghanistan, apparently because they attended a dance party that flouted the extreme brand of Islam embraced by the militants, officials said Monday.

KANDAHAR: Seventeen civilians including two women were beheaded in a southern Afghanistan village in a region plagued by the Taliban insurgency, officials said Monday.

“Last night 17 local villagers, two women and 15 men, were beheaded by unknown people in Kajaki district,” Daud Ahmadi, a spokesman for the Helmand provincial administration, told AFP.

The killings, in a district where U.S. Marines have battled the Taliban for years, were a reminder of how much power the insurgent group still wields in the south — particularly as international forces draw down and hand areas over to Afghan forces.

The victims were part of a large group that had gathered late Sunday in Helmand province’s Musa Qala district for a celebration involving music and dancing, said district government chief Neyamatullah Khan. He said the Taliban slaughtered them to show their disapproval of the event.

All of the bodies were decapitated but it was not clear if they had been shot first, said provincial government spokesman Daoud Ahmadi.

The FBI is investigating whether a suicide bomber killed in Saturday’s bombing of an African Union military base in Mogadishu is Abdisalan Ali, 22, a U.S. citizen from Minneapolis. At least 10 people died in the attack carried out by the Somali terror group al-Shabaab, which claimed responsibility in an audiotape.

On the tape, the speaker (identified as one of two suicide bombers involved in the attack) called for terrorist strikes against the United States and Canada and other places around the world. “My brothers and sisters, do jihad in America, do jihad in Canada, do jihad in England, anywhere in Europe, in Asia, in Africa, in China, in Australia,” he says.

Across a vast expanse of the Muslim world, from Tunisia to Pakistan, the forces of Islam are rising. Tunisian voters have given the Al Nahda (Muslim Brotherhood) party a dominant position in the national assembly that will write the country’s new constitution. In Libya, Chairman of the National Transitional Council, Mustafa Abdel Jalil, has declared he seeks to make Islamic law the basis for legislation.

In Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood campaigns under the slogan, “Islam is the Solution” as Coptic Christians face the worst persecution in decades. Israel just released hundreds of Palestinian terrorists with blood on their hands to ransom Gilad Shalit, an IDF hostage long held by HAMAS in Gaza.

In Syria, Bashar al-Assad’s Alawite dictatorship faces a motley opposition grimly determined to bring it down. With United States (U.S.) backing, the Turks have arranged that most members of the just announced Syrian National Council are Muslim Brothers or like-minded shariah-promoters.

There is barely a day that passes without the drone-like reminder that the world we now live in is riddled with the carnage left by the blood lusting and demonically influenced hordes in our midst. One would think that after 10 years of studying and fighting this enemy, we might actually have  a firm understanding of him and have determined how best to defeat him.

The Taliban:  not so bad?

We certainly should have been able to determine what doesn’t work.

Instead, we unilaterally placed a “governor” on our force projection which presumed to increase trust and goodwill amongst the Afghan population by reducing civilian casualties. In so doing, we necessarily extended the need for US forces there into perpetuity. And we did this based on a faulty presumption; that the average Afghan did not agree – to greater degree, with the Taliban. It also almost by necessity assumes then that the average Afghan does not see us as anything other than good people coming to the rescue.

It is now March of 2011.  That jihadi attack on the United States is over nine years behind us.  The declaration of a global jihad from Iran in 1979 is over 30 years in our rear view mirror.  The national security apparatus of the United States has spent hundreds of billions of dollars to “make America safer,” yet we still have not defined our enemy – or even tried.  There is no place in the national security structure which has objectively evaluated the threat doctrine of our enemy, and then created a strategic plan for victory for the United States – per U.S. warfighting doctrine.

National Public Radio, which fired news analyst Juan Williams last month after pressure from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), has featured the Islamist group’s leaders on air nearly two dozen times in the past three years, while never addressing CAIR’s designation as a cog in a Hamas-support network, a review of NPR transcripts shows.

Earlier this year, the Department of Justice stood by its inclusion of CAIR on a list of unindicted co-conspirators in the terror-financing prosecution of the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF). That list became public in June 2007, but never has been discussed in any of the NPR broadcasts featuring CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad, national spokesman Ibrahim Hooper and other officials.

Editorial Comment:  Could this be the first right move Mr. Obama has made against his beloved Islam? The all things Muslim resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., has yet to demonstrate in any way, shape or form that he is not with them.

When a report challenging our national security policy of ignoring Islamic supremacism through Islamic law, “Shariah: The Threat to America,” was released during a Capitol Hill press conference on Wednesday (disclosure: I was one of the co-authors of the report), among the chief critics were representatives from the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association (CMSA). This group, which has been briefing both Democrat and Republican congressional leadership in recent months that there is nothing inherently violent in Islamic law, has a very poor history of embracing Islamic radicals and even Al-Qaeda terrorists.

Immediately after 9/11, the CMSA began holding Friday afternoon prayer services on Capitol Hill. Who did they choose to lead them in their prayers? Al-Qaeda sheikh Anwar al-Aulaqi, who is currently subject to a kill or capture order issued by President Obama. In fact, video of Aulaqi preaching to the CMSA was included in the 2002 documentary, “Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet.” That video clip is available to view by the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

Remember, this is a congregation of fifty people. Surely the democrats will try to use this as an example as right wing religious extremism.  Clearly it is and it would be wise for the rest of the U.S. to follow the General’s comments.  The focus must be on crushing Sharia.

General David Petraeus has sounded an alarm about the planned burning of copies of the Quran on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by the 50-member congregation of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida.  He believes that, “Images of the burning of a Quran would undoubtedly be used by extremists in Afghanistan – and around the world – to inflame public opinion and incite violence.”

Such concerns are, of course, not unfounded, given the past practice of adherents to shariah (a.k.a. “extremists,” according to Gen. Petraeus and the Obama administration) who seize upon any real or perceived slight to Islam in ways calculated to enforce submission to its dictates.  Usually, these involve the actual use or threat of violence against innocents.

We sent an email to the Department of Agriculture yesterday afternoon, asking for confirmation concerning their co-sponsorship (with the Muslim Brotherhood-associated Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations) of the Tuesday, August 31 special workshop on “direct access” grants and financial assistance, combined with an Iftar dinner with Muslim federal employees.

The “direct access” grants workshop was promoted by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) to “cut the red tape”  with several federal agencies (Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, White House, Education, etc) for 20 invited – but unnamed – Muslim groups, under CCMO’s associated Muslim Brotherhood sponsorship.

Do the math.  The 15 floors planned for the Ground Zero Mosque just don’t add up.

What’s the goal? Maybe the Imam’s goal is not simply to force a provocative “insensitivity” about 9-11 on the American public, with the help of America’s elites.  Maybe the Imam’s long-term goal is to force Shariah law on the American public – of course, again, with the help of America’s elites.

Why don’t the 15 floors add up? How many floors does Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf need for the mosque portion of this triumphal Islamic command center planned for the two building sites at 45-47 Park Place in New York City?  Think about it: maybe 2 floors for the mosque itself and related offices.  A 3rd floor for the swimming pool, a 4th for the 500 seat auditorium, a 5th for the halal restaurant and halal culinary school, a 6th for the art studios, the childcare center and library, a 7th for the gym and basketball court.  Add an 8th floor for miscellaneous storage and offices.  And then add a 9th floor for the September 11 memorial, an after-thought that was recently added to the Imam’s plan, although that may in fact be more of a room off to one side than a whole floor.

Feisal Abdul Rauf—the now infamous “moderate” imam doggedly pursuing a triumphal mosque near Ground Zero—has yet another opportunity to confirm his putative “ecumenism.” The Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) has issued a series of traditional Islamic legal rulings, or “fatwas” that are wholly consistent with the Sharia (Islamic Law), but entirely inconsistent with Imam Rauf’s brazen assertion that the Sharia’s “principals of justice” guarantee religious minority (i.e., Non-Muslim) rights and freedom of conscience as steadfastly as these principles are upheld in America’s Bill of Rights and Constitution.

Accordingly, Imam Rauf must denounce the rulings of his esteemed co-religionist Islamic clerics of the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America issued over the past 4-years which sanction hatred of non-Muslims, including their lethal punishment for “blaspheming” the Muslim prophet Muhammad, and the killing of Muslims who leave Islam, becoming so-called “apostates.”

One obvious question for those who support the Ground Zero mosque has been, “Do you think the terrorists support it?”  In other words, will the radical Muslim terrorists consider it a victory if they see a Mosque established a 4-iron away from the American location where 3000 people were incinerated, forced to leap 80 stories to their death, or crushed by falling debris in the name of Islam?  Today, the New York Post answered that question:

A leader of the Hamas terror group yesterday jumped into the emotional debate on the plan to construct a mosque near Ground Zero — insisting Muslims “have to build” it there.

“We have to build everywhere,” said Mahmoud al-Zahar, a co-founder of Hamas and the organization’s chief on the Gaza Strip.

President Barack Obama’s top counterterrorism advisor John Brennan created a stir recently when he talked of building up the “more moderate elements” of the terrorist group Hezbollah.

But in response to such an idea, one Christian member of Lebanon’s Parliament said, “Good luck with that.”

“Hezbollah is a very dangerous party because they are trying to impose to Lebanon their policy and their vision of jihad and martyrdom,” said Nadim Gemayel, member of the Lebanon Parliament. “And this is unacceptable.”

Gemayel has called for Hezbollah to disarm. He told CBN News in an exclusive interview that the Shiite terror militia has hijacked his country.

“It’s abiding to the rules of the Iranian revolution,” Gemayel said of the gorup. “But moreover, I think that with the support, of course, of the Iranian arms and the money and the financing of the Iranians and from the facilities that Syria is providing to Hezbollah, we are having a party — a military party — growing day after day and year after year — especially after the war of 2006.”

The Islamic Enemy We Won’t Identify

After Pearl Harbor was attacked, the United States declared war on Japan within hours. The enemy was demonized and vilified; it served to channel this nation’s collective anger in the most productive direction. Ultimately, it paid off in victory. Another enemy similarly attacked us on September 11^th, 2001 but instead of a Declaration of War against an enemy, Americans themselves were issued a Declaration or Warn – Islam is peaceful and should not be examined – while being told to direct their anger at a tactic used by the real enemy.

The true enemy of America that hit us on 9/11 was the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliated groups, which include Hamas and al Qaeda, according to Islam expert Robert Spencer. Islamic expert Steve Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism even quotes chief counter-terrorism advisor under both Clinton and Bush – Richard Clarke in 2003, while talking about Hamas and al Qaeda:

“The common link here is the extremist Muslim Brotherhood – all of these organizations are descendants of the membership and ideology of the Muslim Brothers.”

Other groups under that umbrella include the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Muslim Students Association (MSA), and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). The details of the Holy Land Foundation trial (HLF), along with facts compiled by Dave Gaubatz, author of Muslim Mafia, further reinforce these claims. Hindsight notwithstanding, it is an incredible stretch to believe the CIA, the FBI, and the White House were all ignorant of these realities; Richard Clarke clearly wasn’t. The most credible reason is that they bowed to a politically correct culture Americans have been choking on for too long.
