Jordan: Teen Forced To Marry Rapist

by Women Against Shariah
But of course me must listen to the twisted Muslims that visit this site and tell us this doesn’t happen.  They are all knowing and we know nothing, so they say.

In conservative Muslim societies like Jordan, rapists can walk free thanks to penal code Article 308, known as the “rape-law.”

In April, the unidentified girl was shopping in the northern city of Zarqa when a 19-year-old man kidnapped her, took her to the desert where he had a pitched a tent and raped her for three consecutive days, judicial sources said.

Amman – The ordeal of a 14-year-old girl who was kidnapped and raped repeatedly for three days has infuriated Jordanians, especially when her attacker agreed to marry her to avoid going to jail.

Police found the girl during a routine patrol, drove her back to her family home and arrested the man.Within days news emerged that the boy had agreed to marry the girl, while all charges against him have been dropped.

Earlier this month, another girl, aged 15, was talked into following a young man to an empty apartment in Amman where she was also raped.

Morocco Jails Rapist Of Two Minor Sisters For 3 Years, Verdict Slammed As Too Soft

by Women Against Sharia

From Al Arabiya:

Moroccan court has sentenced a man found guilty of raping two young sisters, between 6 and 8 years old, to three years in prison in a ruling that was slammed by rights groups as too soft.

A
A security investigation revealed that the man, a husband and father of three, has lured his victims mostly school children to his butcher shop which is located near a public elementary school, according to Moroccan media reports.

The Touche Pas a Mon Enfant (Don’t touch my child) group, which is dedicated to defending the rights of sexually abused children, has slammed the court’s decision as too lenient and called for judiciary responsible for defending children against rape crimes.
The group said in a statement that child rapists should receive the harshest punishments possible, and called for a rally in front of the appeals court in the Atlantic coastal city of El Jadida to protest against the sentence seen as lenient.

In March, the story of a young Moroccan girl, Amina el-Filali, who committed suicide after she was forced to marry her rapist, shocked Morocco and drew wide international condemnations against rape and child abuse.

Rape victims in Morocco have to prove to authorities that they did not participate in consensual sex. They are also stigmatized and given meager social assistance. A convicted rapist can face five to 10 years in prison, but up to 20 if the victim is a minor.

According to a 2009 report by Touche Pas a Mon Enfant, child rape cases declared by the families of the victims in Morocco only make up a tiny percentage of the abuse committed because of the taboos associated with the issue in Morocco.

Egypt: Women Herded And Tied Like Camels?

Posted by Women Against Shariah

From Jihad Watch

This picture, taken at a recent protest in Egypt, has been making the rounds on various Arabic websites. Note the rope around the women, herding them like camels; note the man to the right holding the leash, walking them.

I am told this is a common “precautionary measure” to keep women from mixing with men during protests.

Considering that certain Islamic texts describe females as “she-camels in heat,” or that it is traditional for some men to divorce their wives by saying “you are given free rein and unloosed like that camel,” or that Muslims are thought to have a mind-frame rooted in sand, camels, and ropes—this measure must surely seem natural.

Another Rally In Pakistan In Favor Of Blasphemy Law, This Time Pakistanis Condemn Pope

Women Against Shariah
A billion-plus Muslims, savagely and unsuspectingly attacked by an octogenarian pontiff! Casting their grievances in those terms is, of course, an attempt to broaden the conflict beyond Pakistan, by portraying the Pope’s criticism of the law as an attack on all Muslims. “Rally supports governor’s killer,” from the Press Association, January 14:

Piety

Islamic extremists have rallied in support of the confessed killer of a liberal Pakistani governor and protested against Pope Benedict XVI for urging the scrapping of blasphemy laws stipulating death for those who insult Islam.

BAGHDAD — Suspected Sunni militants took aim again at Baghdad’s dwindling Christian community, setting off a dozen roadside bombs Wednesday and sending terrified families into hiding behind a church where walls are still stained from blood from an attack nearly two weeks ago.

Five people were killed and 20 were wounded in the bombings and mortar attacks that targeted Christians across the city, police and hospital officials said. Iraqi Christians are already reeling after the earlier attack on a Sunday Mass service left 68 people dead, and many are now wondering whether it’s time to leave their homeland.
