Istanbul Process: Censorship Through Subterfuge

When you create a legal construct which ties what we utter and publish with the completely unrelated actions of unrelated people on other continents, completely beyond our control, assigning blame to us for what they do on their own accord, then you are attempting to restrict free speech by forcing self-censorship.  You are, in effect, erecting a heckler’s veto and abandoning the First Amendment.

The fall session of the Istanbul Process has concluded; while we await publication of their report we can reflect on the manifold deceptions which passed the lips of two participants.  I have selected the most important phrases out of context for criticism.

• meetings that will advance respect for religious freedom and religious tolerance around the world.

It is not possible to advance respect for religious freedom & tolerance where Allah’s writ runs. There is neither tolerance nor respect for religions other than Islam in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other nations dominated by Islam.  The positive attitudes desired by Amb. Cook do not  and can not exist there because of the doctrines of Islam.

• Non-Muslims are cursed.

• 2:161. Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allâh and of the angels and of mankind, combined.
• 3:12. Say (O Muhammad ) to those who disbelieve: “You will be defeated and gathered together to Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest.”
• 9:30. And the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allâh, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allâh. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allâh’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!

Only Islam is accepted.

US State Department: No Public Christian Churches Left in Afghanistan

The US has been fighting terrorism for ten years in Afghanistan, it has denied that the real source of the problem is Islam and consequently we are losing the battle.  To make matters worse, if that were really necessary – our denial of the truth has advanced the ethnic cleansing of the small Christian population.  America and Americans have historically done the right things because we are Christians, denying that has disastrous effects both here at home and abroad.

According to CNSNews  the US State Department has declared that there is not a single public Christian church left in Afghanistan.  This is not a sign of progress and recovery, it is a sign that society is continuing its downward spiral into oblivion and we let it happen.

We allowed the same bankrupt philosophy that has impelled Mohamedists to murder more than 270 million people in the name of Jihad to implant the sickness of Islam as the government of Afghanistan (and Iraq) with our help.  One wonders why we didn’t re-install a Fascist government in Germany, or an Imperialist government in Japan after WWII if this is such a great idea.

Christianity is no more compatible with Islam than it is Modern Liberalism.  The reason that Christians in Afghanistan can’t show their faces in public is because American leftists and Muslims both hate Christianity.  You won’t here either of them complaining about this because they’d like to see the same thing happen here too but don’t have the courage to admit it…

Writing in Forbes, Claudia Rossett takes a look at the good fortune Feisal Abdul Rauf, the man behind the Ground Zero mosque, has enjoyed since he came to America. In an article entitled “Cashing In On Ground Zero”, Ms. Rossett outlines the salaries, remunerations, stipends, honoraria, emoluments, perquisites, and gratuities — some of them due to the largesse of the federal government — conferred upon Imam Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan since he arrived on these shores:

For the State Department to spend thousands of taxpayer dollars sending someone with those views on a “public diplomacy” trip to the Middle East is a curious exercise. Rauf’s trip is costing $16,000. Khan’s will cost $12,000. If Khan will be collecting the same $496 per diem that Rauf will be getting in Abu Dhabi, this will include a joint $982 per day for creature comforts, as Khan spreads her opinions about Muslim life in America—and builds people-to-people ties in an Islamic state loaded with billions in oil wealth.

What do “global warming,” “global governance” and “sustainable development” have to do with the proposed “Ground Zero mosque?” One would think absolutely nothing; however investigation into the money, organizations and people behind the project has uncovered some revealing and disturbing connections.  An extensive analysis of these findings provides the missing insight into the larger agenda, motives and modus operandi associated with what is now known as the Park51project. It also reveals the reasons behind the persistence of the insipid and insulting project and why it remains viable in the face of such visceral opposition.

Never let a crisis go to waste, solved with TARP Funds

Those who oppose the construction of an Islamic center in close proximity to Ground Zero are legitimately upset by the hubris of Imam Feisal Abdul-Rauf and his associates, and his lack of class and sensitivity exhibited by their insistence to continue forward despite the plaintive objections of those most affected and victimized by the terrorist attacks. Some in opposition appear perplexed that the individuals behind the project have not relented or even acquiesced to open dialogue about moving the Islamic center due to the volatility created by the project. To date, overtures made by the governor of New York as well as members of the clergy have been quietly rebuffed by the people behind the project. If building bridges and fostering goodwill is, in fact, their objective, it is reasonable to question their reluctance and outright refusal to mitigate any ill will by reconsidering the location of the Islamic center. For the purpose of a comprehensive investigation, it is not only reasonable, it is imperative.

A new State Department report designating terrorist organizations notably excludes one group: the Taliban. The U.S. has been fighting a war in Afghanistan for almost a decade aimed at “defeating the Taliban,” Taliban members repeatedly have threatened and killed American citizens and lawmakers have increased pressure on State to add the Taliban to the list.

Ultimately, in response to repeated questions, a member of Rauf’s New York Cordoba Initiative foundation e-mailed me Friday, saying that Rauf’s trip to the Middle East, “in the near future,” will be hosted by the U.S. government as part of an outreach program to “bring the message of moderation, peace and understanding.”

Rauf refuses to call Hamas a terrorist group/blames US for 9/11 and our State Dept is sending him on a bridge building mission to the ME. Again, WTF?

At the State Department, which presumably will be spending taxpayer money on Rauf’s tour, I have yet to receive confirmation or any other information about his program, despite three days of my repeated requests by phone and e-mail. Apparently it is taking a while for State’s Bureau of Public Diplomacy to get “clearance” to release any details of this particular public outreach effort, though Rauf’s wife says it has been in the works for months.
